About Hope Pet Rescue
Established 2010

Minnie, our inspiration, was a puppy mill rescued dog weighing just a 1 1/2lb. She has since passed, but will be in our hearts forever.
Hope Pet Rescue, Inc. was established in 2010 by a small group of dedicated, devoted animal lovers working towards a common goal – to try and save the lives of innocent animals who would otherwise be euthanized. We are avid promoters of the spay/neuter effort in order to avoid pet overpopulation, and the overall animal welfare cause. We save animals from high kill shelters all over Illinois as well as Chicago Animal Care and Control.
Our rescued animals are kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Being in a home environment benefits them tremendously as they are not under stress, not susceptible to diseases commonly found in shelters or pounds, and we get a sense of their personality and traits. This also teaches them they can trust humans who will love and care for them.
We are a licensed 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization entirely run and funded by our volunteers and fosters. We hold adoption events at various locations. Follow us on Facebook to find out where and when!
We are always looking for people to join our team! Feel free to email us at [email protected] if you would like to participate in any way – we can’t wait to hear from you!
